Caliqua AG in Basel, plant engineering company
As a technical editor in plant engineering at Caliqua AG in Basel, I use eDocCloud for plant documentation of small and large projects. Originally the documentation was created as usual in Windows Explorer structures, which could be found by the company drive structures mostly in nested file paths by laborious searching with the search function in Explorer. Problems arose with the storage space and with the much too long file names. The file search within a project turned out to be a tedious undertaking.
We were looking for a solution that was effective and time-saving. With eDocCloud we have solved all previous problems and with the additional functions eDocCloud serves as a valuable archive on the one hand and as an important tool for quality assurance on the other hand. Now I have the possibility to check the completeness of my documentation e.g. by a list function. You can also find out the extent of the entire documentation with just a few clicks. We can quickly compile the paper version for the customer and hand it over to an external printer as PDFs, who can print it without any problems and does not need long explanations.
Our customers appreciate the offer – to receive an eDocOffline version from us – and also like to use it because of its easy handling.

The Werdhölzli sewage treatment plant is a business unit of ERZ Entsorgung + Recycling Zurich. ERZ is a service department of the Civil Engineering and Disposal Department of the City of Zurich.
In Switzerland’s largest sewage treatment plant, with around 1,500 components, most of which are individually manufactured. The plant operates around the clock, 365 days a year. For the plant a large number of technical documents have to be created, managed and administered.
In order to make this huge amount of user-specific information available in the shortest possible time, good structures alone are no longer sufficient.
In the past years, step by step the existing facility documentation structure was continuously “transferred” to the DMS (eDoc). In new construction projects, incomplete documentation can be identified earlier. Shortcomings in the documentation of existing plants become more transparent.
All employees with access to eDoc can view all technical documents at any time. The documentation can only be changed by authorized/responsible persons.
